“I’m Not A Very Good CEO”: A Refreshing Voice
In case you didn’t catch this interview with Diane von Furstenberg in the Sunday Times for the Corner Office article, you’ve got to read this. Here is an exceedingly successful business person who knows herself so well that she is comfortable declaring what her true strengths and weaknesses are. Her whole message is to have a primary relationship with yourself above all others. From that place of self knowledge, you can be a more effective leader.
Not only do I agree with her point of view but I was also caught by surprise to read this in a business section. She does not use the usual language or harken back to the same early childhood experiences that you find in this weekly column. This is a must read. Enjoy.
